Boost! Monthly Balance

This is a plugin that generates a record in which monthly totals (such as inventory or accounts receivable) by customer or product for a specified year are stored in fields for January to December.

With monthly trends organized in a list, you can easily grasp the movement of inventory and accounts receivable at a glance.

Preparation for using Boost! Monthly Balance (Version upgrade of kumaneko)

To use this plugin, you need kumaneko version 1.9.2 or higher. Please check your current version and update it if necessary.

Setting up the "Boost! Monthly Balance"

The "Boost! Plugin" is configured and downloaded via the "Boost! Console", so if you haven't set up your "Boost! Console" yet, please register your user information first.

Placement and Verification of Fields for Aggregated Data

First, the app where this plugin is installed requires several fields to store the aggregated data.

1. Identification Field	This is the key field used to determine the unit of aggregation. Only Lookup, Radio Button, or Drop-down fields can be used.
2. Year Field	This field stores the target year for aggregation. Please configure one Number field.
3. Monthly Summary Fields	These fields store the totals for January through December. Please configure 12 Number fields.
4. Carryover Balance Field	This field stores the carryover balance from the previous year. Please configure one Number field.

Next, we will explain the fields that need to be placed in the "Source App" for aggregation.

1. Identifier Field	A key field used to link with the identifier field of the target app for aggregation. It must hold the same value as the identifier field of the target app.
2. Date Field	A field that holds dates such as transaction dates or occurrence dates, used to determine the target month for aggregation. Based on this date, the system decides which monthly field to update.
3. Aggregation Field	A field that holds values such as amounts or quantities to be aggregated. The values entered here will be added or subtracted and reflected in the monthly summary fields and carry-over field of the target app.

As an example of specifying multiple identifier fields, consider a lookup field referencing a product master combined with the warehouses where those products are stored.
In such cases, specifying both "Product" and "Warehouse" as identifier fields enables stock management by warehouse.

Creating a List View

A read-only list view needs to be created in advance for this plugin, so if you want to use a view other than the "all" view, please create a new one.

Configuring the "Boost! Monthly Balance"

To add a new setting, click the add button on the right (circle in red), and to edit an existing setting, click the setting name (square in red).

Once the plugin configuration screen appears, specify the setting items.

Setting Name:

Please enter a name that will appear on the list on the left side of the screen and will also be the name of the program to download.

Target App:

Please specify the app to run the plugin.

View:

Please specify the list view that is the target of this setting.

Execution Button Label:

Please enter the label text for the execute button.

Execution Confirmation Dialog Message:

Please enter the message for the execution confirmation dialog.

Identifier Field (e.g., client or product):

Please specify the field used to identify the aggregation target.

Year Field:

Please specify the field that indicates the year for aggregation.

Monthly Summary Fields:

Please specify the fields used to store the aggregated results for each month (e.g., sales amount, number of shipments).

Carryover Balance Field:

Please specify the field that stores the sum of the "Carryover Balance" and the total of the January to December values, taken from the record with the same identifier in the previous year.

Source App:

Please specify the app to be used as the aggregation target.

The settings for the source app are configured from the popup screen that appears when you click the "Open Settings" button.

Identifier Field (e.g., client or product):

Please specify the field to be matched with the identifier field of the aggregation target app.

Additional Filter Condition:

Optionally, please specify additional conditions to narrow down records from the source app./p>
Date Field:

Please specify the field that stores the date to be used for aggregation.

Aggregation Target Field (e.g., sales amount or quantity shipped):

Please specify the field in which the value to be aggregated is stored.

Aggregation Method:

Please specify whether the values in the aggregation target field should be added or subtracted.
